We are only able to provide the NHS Vaccinations recommended for travel. These are –
□ Diphtheria, polio and tetanus (combined booster)
□ Hepatitis A
If you require any of the above NHS vaccinations simply return to the practice, with the pre-travel health and vaccination form attached completed, and book an appointment with a Practice Nurse.
This must be at least 5 weeks before the date of your intended travel. Any later then this and we may be unable to fully administer the required schedule of vaccinations you require, leaving you at risk when abroad.
We would ask that the attached pre-travel health and vaccination form is fully completed making sure that you have mentioned all areas to be visited, i.e. countries and specific vaccinations or medication you will require, plus any additional advice needed before embarking on your travels.
It is your responsibility to give the correct information. The practice cannot take responsibility for late requests for vaccinations or incorrect information given by patients. For further information about countries and vaccinations click here.
For all other vaccinations you will be to seek travel advice from another service, often available at Pharmacies, such as the Health Hut Pharmacy in Morpeth, Superdrug Pharmacy on Northumberland Street, Newcastle upon Tyne or Lloyds Pharmacy in Hexham.
